They are probably trying to clean up the environment and prevent our Earth, a living conscious being, from going into shock or dying due to the damage we have been inflicting on her for decades. Meanwhile we, the uncivilized monkeys, keep waging wars, buying worthless trinkets, electing corrupt politicians, watching garbage on TV, going to church, and working jobs we despise while superstitiously believing we're the only and most intelligent form of life in the universe.
